Old interface was better. Now when making a connection and changing trains, it doesnt give you the rest of your trip.

New interface is awful. I dont mind them using ads but to plaster them on the screen taking away valuable space at all times is insane. This app is awful now and if you can I recommend you find something else.

Saw a sticker on one of the ticket vending machines that said "NJ tickets and passes from our Mobile App!" Lies. That was the only reason I downloaded it.

Had this app for a while for my daily commute. Checking tracks and updated advisories mostly. It worked ok but after the update its even worse. Its confusing and does not work properly. Info is incorrect and advisories dont even load.

I use this app every day. It is easy, intuitive and straight forward. If you change trains in Newark Penn I recommend setting the transfer time in preferences as the default is 0 minutes. Sometimes simple is so excellent and this is one of those apps. And the schedule is stored on the phone so cell service is not required to get search results which is brilliant when I am on the subway headed to NYC Penn station.

The latest update has ruined the Apple Watch app that is paired with NJ Rails. Ive been using NJ Rails and the Apple Watch app for awhile now, and its been working fine. But since the update, when I launched the Apple Watch app, it wouldnt load at all, and eventually returned me to the home screen. So I just left it. But then I realized my iPhone was getting really hot, but I didnt look into it. Then I realized about 5 hours later, my battery had dropped from around 90% to 30%, but I barely even used my phone. I checked the Battery section in the Settings app, and I found that NJ Rails had been consuming 60% of my battery usage, and it was running 6.5 hours in the background. I will be deleting this app until the developer of NJ Rails comes up with a fix.

None better. This app is by far the best thing ever.

Easy to use app

This is a great app. I completely rely on it for my commute. It eve gives you real-time station departures and lets you know exactly how late a train is running. Just be careful: if you have a transfer, make sure you go to settings and set the minimum transfer time (I use 7 minutes - if you use 2 minutes, for example, you only have 2 minutes from arrival of train 1 to departure of train 2 and you might miss your connection). This is particularly important if you travel out of Penn Station NYC to a Secaucus transfer.

Ive been using this app forever, and its very good. I feel like the previous version was a little better in that it was easier to set the X to Y route that I use 99% of the time; also I find it confusing now, and options to control the app, to delete things for example, are very difficult to figure out. Still, an excellent app.

Ive only had the app for a few days but I really like it!! This is a really neat and user-friendly app I definitely recommend for transit travelers. Im not too sure of bus routes but its simple, reliable with accurate train schedules and has a neat clean look upon the eyes compared to the previous app I used which was embarkNJ. It gives you the schedule break down of the various train stops, expected time arrivals even with adjusted delays too, includes the fare which I like, trips advisories are helpful too and allows me to save my favorite train spots from departure to arrival. With the fare rate included, I wish there was a way to purchase your train ticket through this app so one could avoid going to the ticket booth and could just hop on. Thanks for designing one of the best apps for train rides so far in NJ.

The developer gave this app a lot of time, polish, and thought, and it shows. Solves the problem.

best app for train schedules. thank u!

Every time I try to log in, it crashes rendering it useless for buying tickets which is the only reason I use it. No one to contact for support. And had to write this review 3 times before it would accept. Shady much?
